====== ASA ====== ===== About ===== Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate [ASA] is a thermoplastic that is commonly available for 3D printing. I prefer to use this over ABS, which has similar mechanical properties, because it is also UV resistant. Compared to [[kb:materials:filaments:pla|PLA]], ASA has a lower ultimate strength, is slightly less rigid, and is more prone to warping while printing. The advantage of ASA is the UV resistance and higher glass transition temperature of ~100 °C. This makes it suitable for higher temperature applications and applications requiring it to be exposed to a lot of natural light. ===== Vendors ===== [[kb:vendors:atomic_filament|Atomic Filament]] ===== Filaments on Hand =====
