===== About =====

This tool allows for the bulk exporting of CAD models and drawings from [[..:..:sw:autodesk:fusion_360|Fusion 360]]. This tool is often necessary because Fusion does not supply a built in bulk export feature. If you want backups of all of your CAD work it is indispensable. This project was originally created by [[https://github.com/aconz2|Andrew Consroe]].

===== My Contribution =====

Originally the script allowed you to select downloading from a fixed folder depth of only 2 or 3 deep because of limitations in the file tree view available to plugins. To remedy this I suggested in [[https://github.com/aconz2/Fusion360Exporter/issues/33|this]] issue the idea of allowing the use of Fusion's side panel folder view to export the currently selected folder at an arbitrary depth. Once this idea was accepted by the original creator of the repo, I forked the repo, added the feature, and then successfully requested that it be merged in [[https://github.com/aconz2/Fusion360Exporter/pull/34|this]] pull request.
