This was a simple product development project to create create an adapter to combine a [[https://mantisx.com/|Mantis X]] with a [[https://www.dryfiremag.com/|DryFireMag]].  

==== Compatibility ====

This model was designed to fit the [[https://www.dryfiremag.com/product/smart-dryfiremag-for-glock-9mm-with-ir-laser/|Glock 9mm magazine]] from DryFireMag which is compatible with the G17, G19, G19x, G26, G34, G45, G47, and G49. The adapter fits the Mantis X2, X3, and X10.

==== Features ====

  * replaces the base-plate on a DryFireMag
  * added protection for the release lever on the Mantis X system
  * print oriented for maximum strength along the bearing surfaces.

==== Disadvantages ====

This is not a true PIC rail, it is custom fit to the Mantis X system so that the protection feature works. The protection is added to reduce the possibility of catching and breaking off the small latch on the Mantis X when drawing or re-holstering.
