My dad is a radiologist and a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. I know very little about the actual practice of radiology. Most of our conversations have been about the physics and math involved. Having studied Mechanical Engineering, it is always interesting to see how things I learned in college, especially seemingly useless mathematics, are applied to a practical problem. This spurred me to learning more about how the physics of MRI machines work.
