Experience

I enjoyed my time at Montana Tech. I started studying metallurgy, but ended up studying mechanical engineering. The class sizes were small and most of the professors were retired out of industry which meant that the coursework usually revolved around how it would be practically applied. I spent a couple years life-guarding there and was an RA for a year.

The best part of Tech was our senior design project. This gave us complete freedom to propose, design, build, and present a machine. There were also several interesting clubs like the SCUBA class and the NASA Robotic Mining competition that I sometimes helped out with.
