About

This is a project created for IDL Industries to allow a Universal Robots UR5e to tend a Robodrill. The integration allows the Robodrill to send two different request calls to the cobot. It also allows the cobot to send a cycle start to the Robodrill, control up to 3 pneumatic vises, control a suction cup, and control a pneumatic gripper.

The hardware is made up of:

  • UR5e or UR5 cobot
  • level-able table
  • part feeding tray
  • part catching tray
  • pneumatic control block
  • wiring distribution block
  • IO optoisolators/relays
